Install Dell Open Manage Integration for VMware vCenter

   
 

1. Go to Support.dell.com and enter Service Tag for one of ESXi Hosts (R710)
2. Select OS to VMware ESXi 5.0 and Category to System Management

   
   

3. Download Open Manage Integration for VMware vCenter

   
   

4. On vSphere Client>Home>Inventory>VMs And Template, create a new folder to name “Dell Open Manage Integration”

   
   

5. Click File>Deploy OVF Template

   
   

6. Browse and select OpenManage_Integration-2.0.0.ovf

   
   

7. Next

   
   

8. Rename to DellOpenManage2

   
   

9. Select VMware 5.1 Cluster

   
   

10. Select vmlab_storage

    
    

11. Select Thin Provision

    
    

12. Set 172.20.255-Port Group

    
    

13. Finish

    
    

14. Power On
15. Default login is admin

    
    

16. Set Password

    
    

     
     

17. Enter

    
    

     
     

18. Configure Network

    
    

19. Select Edit Devices

    
    

20. Select Eth0 and Enter

    
    

21. Uncheck DHCP and fill out the IP info. Save.

    
    

22. Select Edit DNS Configuration and Enter

    
    

23. Keep Hostname to localhost and Primary DNS

    
    

24. Save and Quit

    
    

25. Select Set Time Zone

    h
    

26. Y to continue

    
    

27. Select Time Zone

    
    

28. The VM will reboot
29. Open IE, and type https://172.20.255.162/DellAdminPortal/index.html
30. Type Password

    
    

31. Click Register New vCenter Server

    
    

32. Fill the information and Register and ignore for the security warning

    
    

    
    

    
    

33. Click Certificate Update button
    

    
    

34. Open vSphere Client and log on vCenter Server again

    
    

35.  Go to Home>Dell Management Center icon is added
