IT Technical Terms

Here are the IT technical terms that I am using often in my position at work.

QoS  (Quality of Service)

• Adjust the network traffics between one site to the other sites for a specific data traffic requirements due to the business purpose.

LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)

• A set for protocol to access information directories

VIP (Virtual IP address)

• One IP Address will represent to access to one of load balancing servers in the backend.

VIBs (VMware vSphere Installation Bundles)

• 3rd party plug-ins software can be installed in the vCenter Server and update via vSphere Client

HBA (Host Bus Adapter)

• It is used  for more higher speed and highly reliable connection of data storage accesses such as more often usages of SQL Data Host storage Accesses and ESXi Host Data Storage accesses networking.

FC (Fiber Channel)

• Fiber Optic Channel Connection primarily used for data storage networking
