Install Sysprep File for Windows Server 2003 Customization Specification process

1. On vc5, download System Preparation tool for Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 Deployment (x64) from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8287
2. Open Command Prompt run as Administrator, go to the download folder
3. Run the command

   WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB926028-v3-x64-ENU.exe /x

   

4. Choose Directory for extracted Files as default path and OK

   

5. Extract Completed

   

6. Copy all extracted files to C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\sysprep\svr2003-64\
7. Open SP2QFE>deploy.cab and extract all the files to C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\sysprep\svr2003-64\

   

Build Out Windows 2003 Web Server

1. Deploy a VM server with WS03R2SP2 Template

   
   

2. VMware 5.1 Cluster

   
   

3. Vmlab_storage

   
   

4. Select Existing Customization specification
   

   
   

5. Input IP Address
   

   
   

6. Edit Virtual Machine
   

   
   

7. Confirm to the right port group
   

   
   

8. Turn on the VM, websvr1.vmlab.local and wait the VM is rebooting automatically to start to run syspreping process
   

   
   

9. Click Next for Evaluation
   

   
   

10. No to continue
    

    
    

11. Ok to set the date and time
